Squaw Valley
Squaw Valley, also known as Olympic Valley, sits northwest of Tahoe City off of Highway 89. This community is home to several smaller sub-divisions but is most commonly known for Squaw Valley Ski Resort, and for being the site of the first live-televised Winter Olympics in 1960. There is access to plenty of hiking trails and bike paths in the summer. Up at the ski resort, you will find The Village at Squaw, which offers countless shopping opportunities for every age and interest, the Trilogy Spa for those looking to extend their relaxation, fun restaurants, comfortable lodging and fire pits for those snowy winter days and chilly summer nights.
